I am delighted to have been appointed as Pembroke School’s new Headteacher and to welcome you to Pembroke School’s website. I qualified as a teacher in 1994 and have worked in four different London schools, each with its own personality, in its own context. Latterly, I have been a Headteacher at a school in South London. Originally from Newport in South Wales, I attended University in London and have recently relocated to Pembrokeshire with my young family. We are all really pleased to be here and I am very grateful for the warm welcome we have already received.
I am looking forward to working with everyone who works and learns here to ensure that Pembroke School is set on a journey of working towards excellence in all that it does. I believe that our school can be a school that does its very best for everyone and values everything they have to offer and the contribution that they make.
Teaching and Learning is at the heart of what we do. Education is so very important and these are very exciting times for everybody at Pembroke School. Towards the end of this year we will move into our new school and this will be a new school in many different contexts, not just a wonderful new building.
We have much to do and achieve in the forthcoming academic year and for Year 11,12 and 13 pupils examination outcomes are crucial to future success. Success and hard work are also important for pupils in Key Stage Three and those just starting Year 10.
If you wish to contact me please do so through my PA , Elissa Locke by telephoning or emailing headteacher@pembrokeschool.org.
